Thank you for your interest in the Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm Shiitake Mushroom Workshop! Find information about our spring workshop below.

Join us out on the Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm at Penn State on Friday, April 25 from 4-5:30pm for an immersive workshop about shiitake mushroom log cultivation! This workshop will be concurrent with our Earth Day event and offers participants everything they need to know about shiitake mushroom cultivation, from inoculation to harvest.  

All materials will be included to learn about and plug a mushroom log, and participants will be able to take home their own 2-foot inoculated log.

About us

The Sustainable Food Systems Program includes the Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm at Penn State, the Student Farm Club, the Food Systems minor, community food system partnerships, and course-client collaborations. Through our multi-faceted programs, we provide diverse opportunities for engagement with sustainability challenges and solutions in food and agricultural systems.
